Ana B. Mendieta was born in Cuenca, Ecuador. She arrived in the states at the age of 10 and grew up in Danbury, Connecticut. She is a graduate of Western Connecticut University and completed a master’s from Teachers College at Columbia University. She is a current doctoral candidate researching Latinas in STEM at St. John Fisher College. Ana has been in higher education for the last eight years. She is a devoted dog and plant mom who likes staying active and is obsessed with everything Beyonce.
