Biographical information
Kaydian S. Reid, DrPH, MA serves as an Assistant Professor and Public Health Graduate Program Director in the Department of Nutrition and Public Health at the University of Saint Joseph. Prior to Dr. Reid’s academic appointments, she worked at the Evaluation, Research and Surveillance Unit in the Division of Nutrition, New York State Department of Health, was a Presidential Health Disparities Doctoral Fellow at the University at Albany, SUNY, as well as a National Institute of Mental Health Research Fellow at Hunter College, CUNY. Dr. Reid received her B.S., in Criminal Justice and M.A., in Sociology from St. John’s University and a Dr.PH and Health Disparities Certificate from University at Albany, SUNY.
As a Health Equity and an Afro-Caribbean Researcher, Dr. Reid’s research interests focus on minority health, specifically on diversifying the health field studies of adolescent health. As a public health practitioner, Dr. Reid has developed, conducted, and consulted training and programs for achieving sustainable policy, systems, and environmental changes.
Dr. Reid continues to write and speak about the efforts to promote health equity that will improve population level health.
