Biographical information
Jennifer is the External Affairs Director with Connecticut Voices for Children. She leads on communications design and public relations, events & community engagement as well as movement building and equity.
Jennifer spent nearly a decade building relationships to advocate on behalf of Connecticut’s most marginalized students. An educator and advocate, Jennifer’s career is grounded in her first-hand experiences providing direct services to black and brown students and families as a College Counselor and Employment Specialist, with these providing a critical equity and justice lens to her work. Jennifer has ensured that her advocacy work is done in partnership with rather than on marginalized communities. She is currently an acting Board Member of New Haven Legal Assistance Association.
