Biographical information
Dr. Mary Boudreaux is an associate professor and coordinator of the doctor of education program in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at Southern Connecticut State University. “Dr. B” teaches courses in change leadership, curriculum development, research, and statistics. “Dr. B” serves as the academic advisor for doctoral students within the Educational Leadership program and serves as chairperson on several departmental committees and represents the college and department on several university committees.Dr. Boudreaux earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana - Lafayette, a master of education degree from the University of North Florida, her principal certification and coursework in school superintendency from the University of Houston, and student personnel services from Arkansas State University. Dr. Boudreaux obtained doctoral degrees from Texas Southern University, Curriculum & Instruction, and Arizona State University, Educational Leadership & Innovation.
Dr. Boudreaux’s research interest is in the area of educational and school improvement. Her research topics include school leadership, diversity and equity issues, multicultural education, and improving culture and climate in educational organizations.
Prior to her employment at Southern Connecticut University, Dr. Boudreaux served as a professor in the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies doctoral program at the University of Memphis. She also worked in the community college system in Houston, TX in the area of developmental education. Dr. Boudreaux is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
