Biographical information

Brennden D. Colbert is a community leader who encourages success by striving to motivate individuals to become stronger than their fears. He is also the Founder & CEO of The Colbert Group; a community-based organization that specializes in self-esteem and self-confidence retention through life coaching, multimedia projects, and philanthropy. Brennden has spoken at many empowerment conferences including events at Colleges and Universities, The Urban League of Greater Hartford, and the United Nations for “World Rotary Day” in 2015 and 2016 as the New Generations Chairman for the Rotary Club of Hartford.

He is passionate about his community engagements and is constantly strategizing ways to serve his communities all over CT. Brennden is the founder of the “Stronger Than My Fears Scholarship”. An annual scholarship that provides high school seniors and undergrad students financial support in their academic success. Back in the fall of 2016, Brennden founded the “100 Turkeys for 100 Families Campaign”. A campaign that annually provides free turkeys to community members in the Greater Hartford area.

In addition to the Rotary Club of Hartford Board of Directors, Brennden has served on several board of directors to include the Capital Community College Foundation (2013-2018) The Urban League of Greater Hartford’s Youth Advisory Council (2015-2018), The Hartford Opera Theatre (2019-2020) and the CT Alliance to End Sexual Violence Board of Directors (2019-2020).

In 2015, Brennden was inducted as an honorary member of the University of Hartford’s Sigma Alpha Pi chapter after his facilitation of their “Leadership Training Day”. In 2016, The Urban League of Greater Hartford nominated Brennden for their “Caring Adult of the Year” for his dedication to their “Project Ready” mentoring program. In the fall of 2017, Brennden was inducted into the 100 Men of Color honor society highlighting positively impactful men of color within CT.
